Laurel E. Solomon practices in the areas of family law (divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, property division/equitable distribution, separation agreements, pre-marital agreements), creditors' rights/commercial collections, personal injury, and general civil litigtaion and appeals.  Ms. Solomon can assist both in matters settled outside of court (including representation at mediation) and those involving litigation.  She has been trained in collaborative family law, and is a member of the Triangle Collaborative Family Law Association.

Ms. Solomon is a 1987 graduate of Duke Law School.  She is Board Certified in family law by the North Carolina State Bar.  Ms. Solomon is admitted to practice before all State and Federal courts in the State of North Carolina and completed a judicial clerkship for the New York State Supreme Court Appellate Division.  She is a member of the Board of Directors of the 14th Judicial District Bar and Durham County Bar Association, and is also a member of the North Carolina Bar Association and North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers.
