Henry A. Mitchell III, CFP(r) has his office in South Durham, approximately 3 miles from the Research Triangle Park. His representative clients include Lenders Service/Fidelity National Title, Black Horse Run of Durham Homeowners Association, and Bank of America, as well as numerous individuals in the area. It is his involvement in the representation and counseling of individuals in which he derives the greatest satisfaction from the practice of law.
After associating with the firms of Bryant, Patterson, Covington & Idol and Newsom, Graham, Hedrick & Kennon with a broad background in transactional as well as litigation matters, Mr. Mitchell formed a partnership with Laurel E. Solomon with whom he had a close relationship during his years of practice in Durham.
The two decided that they would base this partnership on a mutual interest in providing quality legal services while maintaining a degree of personal attention and understanding they felt necessary to properly "counsel" and assist their clients.
Mr. Mitchell graduated from Davidson College with a B.A. in History and honors in Economics. He pursued his graduate study at Wake Forest University Law School and excelled in Corporate and Wills and Estates courses due to his interest in these areas. He also obtained a Master of Trust and Investment Management Degree from Campbell University.
He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER(tm) and is licensed to practice before all North Carolina Courts and the United States District Court for the Middle and Eastern Districts of North Carolina. His professional memberships and offices include: North Carolina and Durham County Bar Associations; Delegate, American Bar Association House of Delegates (1997 - 1999); Director, Durham County Bar Association (1997 - 1998), Member, Financial Planning Association.
